About us
What does Calnan AI Labs do?
We find the manual work slowing your team down, like typing the same thing twice, chasing quotes or waiting on reports. Then we build simple tools that fix it on the software you already use, set them up in your business, train your team and keep them running.
Who do you work with?
Owner-led businesses with 10 to 150 people, including home services and trades, wholesale and light manufacturing, insurance, mortgage and lending, and real estate and property management.
Do you work with Canadian businesses?
Yes. We're based in Lethbridge, Alberta, and work remotely with businesses across the US and Canada.
How do you use AI, and what stays with people?
We use it where it's safe and useful, such as reading documents or sorting incoming requests. Anything unusual, sensitive or uncertain goes to a person on your team to decide. Our rule is simple: automate what is safe to automate, and leave the exceptions with people.
Cost
How much does it cost?
Every job starts at $2,500. A quick fix is $2,500 to $6,000, and larger projects across several systems are $20,000 to $40,000 or more. Your written plan has one fixed price. See the full price list
Why a fixed price instead of hourly?
You know the cost before we start, and we carry the risk if the work takes longer. The price is agreed in writing before any work begins, and you approve any big change before we go past it.
Do we pay anything before we agree?
No. The first call is free, and nothing is billed until there's a written plan you've agreed to.
What's a care plan, and do we need one?
It's an optional monthly plan that keeps what we built running when your software changes, from $500 a month. Every project already includes 30 days of fixes, so you can decide after that.
Working together
What happens on the free call?
You tell us what's slowing you down. We ask which software you use and how often the problem happens. If we can help, you get a written plan and one fixed price the same day.
Do we have to switch to new software?
No. We work with the software you already use wherever it allows it. If it already has a feature that solves the problem, we'll switch it on and train your team instead of building something new.
How long will it take?
Most jobs take from a few days to a few weeks. Your written plan includes an estimated timeline, and it starts once we have access to the software involved and a few real examples.
What do you need from us?
Access to the software involved, a few real examples of the work, and someone who knows how it's done today.
Will you keep us updated?
Yes. During the build you get a short note at the end of each day: what moved, what's next, and anything we need from you.
What's included in the 30 days after launch?
Fixes and small adjustments to what we built, for 30 days after launch. New requests are quoted separately.
